To all our customers

Maskerades has been a part of the local community for many years and known for being a place where young children can start their dream to dance and act.

Maskerades was founded by my best friend Gwyneth Roberts in the 80s, Gwyneth was a dancer herself, starting her business in much smaller premises on Oxford Road before moving to Albert St. The costume hire side of the business became very busy and she also began a talent agency. Sadly Gwyneth passed away. It was then that Jeremy and I took over the business along with the help of my daughter Gillian and Gwyneth’s mother Mrs Hilda Roberts a great seamstress in 2006.

After 13 years of running Maskerades we would like to announce that Jeremy and I have decided to retire from the business.

The last working day of Maskerades Shop will be Saturday 30th March 2019 the studio will continue with its current time table.

With this news we are happy to announce the new owner of the business Ellie Montanaro, Ellie will be taking over from 8th April 2019.

Ellie is trained dancer and owner of Forza Dance School and we believe Ellie has the passion to take the business to another stage of its life and cant wait to see what she has in store.

Ellie has some exciting new plans for the shop and studio and we wish Ellie the best of luck for the future.

C R Dance Academy Classes, Pilates and Abbey Tappers will remain the same.

A big thank you to Chris Roberts of CR Dance,  Rebecca Holmes Pilates and Abbey Tappers for there loyal support over the last 13 years.

We would like to wish all our customers past and present a heartfelt thank you, there are so many good memories we will take with us.

Please continue to support Ellie in the the future as you have us in the past

We thank you all and ask you just keep dancing
